@Drae— There are different reasons for multiple groups producing scanlations from the same series. And there are different reasons why chapters are skipped. Some of the reasons are malicious, but some are not, and that makes it difficult to produce rules that will stop the malicious behavior but won't also stop the benign behavior. The scanlator for this upload has made different claims at different times about what he has been doing, but at times he's made it quite clear that he delights in subverting the scanlation projects of some others, and derives trollish gratification from the frustration that he causes those who are lured into reading chapters out-of-order. (Unfortunately, some users have been quite willing to feed the troll.) |

@Drae Short answer? Is just drama translation wars. Think nothing of it and just enjoy either the fast releases or reading the comment section. If you keep reading manga on this website, you will probably encounter a lot of these situations sooner or later, you'll get used to it. Long answer? Since there is no "rights" over the translations of any manga, is basically a free for all. Most of the times there is a non-verbal agreement that a group holds the "right" to translate a manga, but since it isn't anything official, they could get sniped by any other group, something that could be considered scummy or unethical. Although most of the times the sniping is greatly justified whether because of bad translation or an unnaturally slow release, both of these applied to Wicked House, the group who previously translated this manga (btw what happened to them? did they gave up this translation?) You could say that these "drama translation wars" are beneficial for the readers, after all while they are fighting, we can just read one chapter after another until one of the groups gives up and the translation pace goes back to normal. The problem is when the ones sniping don't give a shit about anyone, which is what is going on with SSSSS. |

Hello I love reading manga and such. I'm starting to use this site a lot more than other sites. Can somebody explain what groups are and skipping and sniping and stuff like that is? Still new to this. |

Shortly after @SteamedBunInvasion figured-out the vulnerability remaining after skip warnings,1 it became possible to block malicious uploaders. Just go to the group page, and in the Group Info box go to the Actions row, and you'll find a button to block the group. But be aware that a non-malicious uploader/group might post scans that fill the gaps but do not include scanlations for the installments that were uploaded by the malicious party. If you see persistent gaps, then you might want to look at the synopsis page while logged-out or after temporarily unblocking the group. (If you block multiple groups, then the option of logging-out will be simpler.) If someone wants to help other users, then he or she might start a forum thread with an initial entry that is routinely updated, listing groups and users associated with spoiling skips. In each case links should be provided to the group page, to the user page, and to an example of a spoiling skip of that specific group's work by that specific user. 1 Specifically, the malicious scanner can upload one chapter with a skip, and then chapters immediately after that, and unwary users going from the Follows page will not get a warning about the original skip. |

ssss huh I remember that group name from the announcement that you can now ignore groups, because it is a group a few people brought up as one they would ignore. Anyway damn what a jump, but nice to know that there is quite a bit of material to read when the translators get to it. |

@greatninja3 well if you check the group other upload you would see series like that - beside, if you have any better idea, please do tell? Consider the required effort to trans a chapter, saying it's just to slightly bother other people is a bit unconvincing to me |

I really wish you didn't add /a/nonymous to your group listing because there's no way they'd have went along with you releasing chapters way out of order just to troll people who got angry at you for doing this exact thing, and frankly it just looks like you're trying to drag them through the mud along with you. |
