@Twi - Weren't they friends for years though? Also, they seemed old enough (Age 5 or more imo), that's more than old enough to form a memory. Even if she can't recognize his face/voice due to puberty, his name should have rung a bell at the very least. I assume it's simply that she is in information overload and in shock.

@darknesspker well they were pretty young in the flashback, she might not remember him or recognize him.

Couldn't Scarlet simply tell the male MC that she recognizes him from her childhood or something? That would provide indisputible evidence. It's interesting how she didn't even flinch at seeing an old friend.
