@unknownids the plan right now is to find a typesetter within Moe Panda to take over that part from me and probably another Redrawer to back me up, after that I'd like release a batch of 5 "chapters" a week, but if not that, then one every few days.

I have the time now and seeing as one of our groups main projects has concluded, I'll have more help. So if Moe Panda could get it back I'd really appreciate it. Leaving Japanese focail in the translations is like me caith random Gaelic into mo replies.

Ná déan care if you can still understand é given the context or that most weebs understand the Japanese focail, it's still not English.


I have followed a bunch of Squiggles translations for a while since back on Batoto and, while there were grammatical errors that never really bothered me, I don't remember anywhere near as many Japanese words with obvious English counterparts being left in as the more recent stuff :/ I'm not sure if this has been a conscious choice or not or even if I'm just remembering wrong.

Leaving in Japanese words whent the meaning can be conveyed by english equivalents is not good translation. Okaasan means 'mother' there is absolutely no reason to leave it untranslated.

"I'm going to the festival with mother tonight!" Sounds natural, but "Teacher will also be coming too right?" does not. I'm not too fussed with leaving 'sensei' since that word is part of the english language at this point, but I think "Ms Kusanagi, you'll be coming too right?" would be a better option. Splicing the credit page with the manga page so it's so much larger is really obnoxious, please don't do that.

"If you don't like it translate it yourself!!" is not a legitimate response to criticism. My Japanese is not good enough to do a translation justice, but my English is certainly good enough to recognise when the English text is not well done. Bad translations are better than no translations but this manga deserves better.

Honorifics matter to the tone of the conversation. I'm glad their there.

@traveling_chef You kidding me right ? It's not a question of being able to translate or not. Using the japanese honorific like that make literraly no sense, Squiggles could just use Mom. No offense @SquigglesJP i really appreciatethe fact that you picked up but i don't know why let Okaa-san.
