just a theory... but can they put a bit of the slime in each dead body and use them like a drone/zombie so when one bites a human a bit of slime enters the wound of a human it slips through the blood stream and enters the brain where it then takes all of its knowledge and control and then you get another zombie? or make the slime transparent and tiny then have them climb onto the bodies of humans as a tracking measure. or spread the slime transparent and super thin on the roof of a room and ambush enemies like a group walks into a room and then it just drops coating them in a layer of slime then you just absorb them ... im think wayyyy too much about this

This summoning practice is screwy on so many levels. You are ripped from your own life and brought to a world where you either die early, or you are enslaved to be a fighter. No, I don’t pity the three assholes in this arc, since it doesn’t excuse their obviously corrupt personalities, but someone should address the fact that this is maybe not the best way to get good fighters. They aren’t loyal, and they’re resentful...not to mention you may get complete psychos. Seems like maybe spending the magic, money, etc in another direction would be a better use. Like...naming monsters and have them be loyal to you...?

Dunno why the soldiers are shocked - it said specifically that humans aren’t that strong compared to monsters, which is the reason for summoning otherworlders to begin with.

Just make sure to read the Translator's Notes at the beginning of Volume 7 (right before the prologue). You might end up confused about what is meant and about the terms used if you don't read those Translator's Notes.

Well, for volumes 1 to 5 you need the official translation (the YenPress one). For those you can either buy the physical volumes (or the e-books, which are cheaper), or you could search for pirated PDFs of those volumes online.

I personally bought the physical volumes and pirated the PDFs of vols 1-4 just to be able to quickly look up parts if I need to. I however lost the data in my previous laptop close to 3 months ago, so I lost those PDFs. I also lost the links to the places I downloaded them from. They weren't that hard to find though, so I think you should be able to find them if you look for them well enough.

As for volumes 6, 7 and 8. I recommend the YenPess version for volume 6, but if you don't want to then you can find the Fan TL of vol 6 on this site:

(In that site there's also the fan TL of volumes 7 and 8, as well as the one for the side-stories of volume 8.5 and 13.5, though those haven't been edited yet they are still readable.)
