@Solistia this is just how I would've acted when they started killing off even my kids, I'd be enraged and just act as a mad king, even madder than how he is seen by the populace.
No matter how he solves this problem via revolution or inaction it would always end up with him losing all, Its already too late.
So yeah I guess this is how the author will make hersch shine.

Not only that, with all the other people on the Minister's side, I bet his kids will start dying one by one until the Minister is released and apologized to. The man cares more about the safety of his family above all else, this is why the Minister has such an iron grip over him. The only reason our Hero/ine can do as s/he pleases is that no one expects anything from a 3-year old. If the primer minister knew what s/he was capable of, he'd be all over Herschy in a second.

@Siikalahna Kill the count, then what? The count is only one person in this big legion of corruption. There's a reason why the US is keeping Kim Jong Un alive, because if he were to die, someone else who is more unpredictable will just rise up to his position, the same goes here. Killing the count won't really do anything much because the corruption is already too well-rooted. It will pose more risk to himself with no real benefit.

@greyhud90 how would he arrest the minister when every major player around the king is in his pocket and just as corrupt as he is? That's a reason the minister killed off all but the youngest prince, to install him as a puppet king. He had no power and was too young to make allies, and the minister controls everyone who gets near him (just like we see Hersch's maid next chapter). Yeah it'd be great if he could arrest him, but even if the king accused him, he's then be labeled a mad king and deposed. Not to mention, all his children are essentially being held hostage at all times.

@deerafl But there's such an easy way to deal with the count. Just chop his head off when he's not looking.
