Kill lived thru horrible shit so it makes sense for him to act the way he does yet he is far more loyal to Gon and the people around him than Gon is. Something that is unbecoming of a psychopath, and the fact that he acts like a real human doesn't give Gon any goodboypoints towards anything that his done to find his asshole dad. Outside of going to retrieving Kill Gon hasn't done shit for others and in fact has hindered his friends since then. Gon doesn't even respect Mito considering his actions and the way he sees his dad. So that whole "Mito ur me only mum" bit was such bullshit to me. Mito herself was just extremely kindhearted and didn't want to slap the ever loving shit outta Gon to put him in his place and she just would rather let him do whatever he wants. Well then you need to read it again. You were right on all marks on gon except one, his mother. He didn't want to know anything about her out respect of Mito, his foster mother. This happens all the time in real life, nothing strange about it. Also his father was praised all over the island he grew up, as well a being a living legend a of hunter; Makes total sense he would idolize him.



This is EXACTLY why he's a psychopath. Psychopaths are known for having grown up in VERY fucked up environments. He was literally raised by psychopaths to be a coldblooded killer, AKA a psychopath. It was only due to his butlers and his trans sister that he had any hope of having the genuine emotions his family did everything in there power to suppress. Gon was his last hope of being a person again.

Another point I should make is that Gon CONSTANTLY loses himself to his emotions throughout the series. Even going so far as to suffer from a mental breakdown because of them. This is impossible for a psychopath/sociopath; they feel very little or no emotion at all. They definitely can't be overcome with grief or anger.

Am I saying he's a good person? No
Am I saying he has normal moral code? No
He still isn't a psychopath though.

TL;DR Killua is a pseudo-psychopath at the beginning of the series. Gon is a naive, honest-to-a-fault, stupid BRAT.

@PsychoJing, he was raised as an assassin and all he wants is to live a normal life. The way he thinks and acts makes perfect sense considering his family and past. You'd have to be thick in the head to not see how bad he's had it so far. Gon on the other hand has had a happy care free life and acts nothing short of psychopath. This is the same guy that lets serial killers go free (twice) and doesn't mind killing things despite never haven't done so before. His total detachment from his dead mother or not even caring about her or who she was while pursuing a deadbeat father doesn't help him at all. He's childish, egotistical and a pretty shit MC. Also I'm not watching a 25 minute video on a character I've known for over 15 years. Leorio best boy. HiatusXHiatus.

killua is the psychopath in hunter x hunter. You can easily see it in the hunter exam where he kills people left and right, and then talks to gon and friends like nothing happened. He stayed with gon so he could change; Even later stating that gon saved him....

To be "desensitized of something" (a feeling, usually) you first need to know/experience that something beforehand, in this scenario Ryuki can't be called desensitized because he doesn't even know that something/feeling in the first place. He never experienced it.
That's why his response is so "innocent", he is completely oblivious to what's going on due to his upbringing.

@RyoSaeba I agree mostly with it, but there is a part i need to get into. Ohma was way different from Ryuki: Ohma killed to survive and even those that weren´t self defense (the ones that were going to disect Setsuna) were to protect his territory, and feels anger and lots of other emotions, save guilt because of the environment. Ryuki kills when he feels like or when those are the rules and feels nothing about it and feels nothing about almost anything and never thought of it because of brainwashing. What both have in common is not valuing the life of others much.
