@Yasagamo Nope, this style is kinda standard, look for the second season of "The legendary Moonlight Sculptor" for example, they look almost the same, and solo leveling didn't even had a manwa adaptation at that time.

well it's not like you expect people from the assassination business to have morals. This guy likes to kill and torture, but loved his family. Hypocrisy or not, one doesn't cancel the other. And you can't really judge another world, fictional one even, with the morals and ethics of ours.

This new guy's a fking hypocrite though, maybe this will be his first failure once MC's sympathy for this guy gets stripped by the flow of the story.

You don't give a shit when a stranger dies. yeah you might say something like "Oh how bad, I feel bad for him" but in reality it doesn't affects you in the slightest.
But if someone that you are familiar with dies, of course you would feel remorse.

the same applies here. He killed people, is normal for the ones close to them to get revenge by killing his family, but that doesn't mean he can't take revenge himself by doing the same thing.
