@Talismaster People are simply obsessed with romance as the only important form of relationship. Even if the authors themselves openly say that there is no romance in their works and that they just wanted to concentrate on friendship and partnership. @BasilD Regardless of whether it will be or not, the plot has not yet reached this point. |

@SuperOniichan Yeah, that’s a thing. It’s just, I was getting long-winded and actually cut a bit out. That’s a whole ‘nother ride I wish I never got on and learned about. I really wish friendship remained friendship, dammit. A harem’s cool and all, but being able to actually be stupid with the bois and grills without forced sexual tension to keep rabid shippers consuming your product is like selling out. |

@siscon @ykyrlv "Actualy," Eupho don't have any yuri. Yamada simply uses MariMite's "Friendship like a romance" approach to portray adolescent experiences with a homoerotic subtext in a melodramatic and effective way. This is the main merit and the main "harm" of MariMite. On the one hand, this franchise made yuri popular, and on the other, it taught scriptwriters to portray completely platonic friendships as perfect fake yuri. Multiply all of the above by the tumblr audience, which cares more about slash shiping than about the actual relationship between the characters, and you get it. @Talismaster Oh, I didn’t think that anyone here could raise this topic. You have forgotten only one thing, such purityfag are usually quite homophobic and really just do not consider lesbian relationships to be “full-fledged”, because there are no men involved and girls do not lose their virginity. So, it’s quite ironic to watch how Western yuri fans or lesbian-focused SJWs meets with this kind of thinking and thinks that all this is caused solely by a love for lesbian representation and gay rights. Not to mention the part of the incels that are trivially experiencing an inferiority complex due to the male MC romantic success, so their hatred of harems or het romance in general, begins to resemble the hatred of yaoi fangirl for shoujo MC. This is confusing me. Who is everyone? What was all that about Tsubame's ex? I don't understand @_@ Also THAT'S what Iino's room looks like? That didn't really fit what I was picturing in my mind. |

@siscon I don't think it'd actually work out between Kumiko and Reina, but all the anime changes made it a more interesting line to explore. My original point was just that the Hibike anime in particular had its own mess of reasons for yuri talk beyond the weird purity obsession people have. |

@ykyrlv Even if Reina straightly told Kumiko that she liked sensei? Not going to shit up the thread, but come on. Their interactions are at class S level at best. Still, yeah I know that kyoAni deliberately decided to remove Kumiko and Shuuichi interactions in anime ver. |

@tigerstar186 Furries have been reviled ever since the internet was young. Digimon’s great and all, but let’s not pretend that furries sometimes ruin everything they touch. |

Didn't glasses girl know that Ishigami was the guy secretly encouraging IIno when she was at her lowest? I think what she means that if she continues she may realize Ishigami and her prince are the same person. |

Watching Iino making such brisk progress with Ishigami these past few chapters makes me feel like I'm reading the ending chapters of Nisekoi all over again. |

@kusobaba It’s hard to tell. Onodera’s mostly shown to be a good person, so maybe she’s pushing Miko into spoiling herself, not knowing that might be a bad thing. Personally, I’m hoping she really is interested in Ishigami, and has been waiting for his inevitable confession to Tsubame to fail before catching him on the rebound. If this is the case, it would mean she’s intentionally pushing Miko towards failure. It’s more interesting this way. The big brain romance geniuses are out of the picture and I’ve wanted more Onodera in the spotlight as well. EDIT: I think I get it. Osaragi’s just a nerd that inherently is beautiful. She probably wears coke bottle glasses and her hair in plain hairstyles to downplay her looks and avoid attention. Last edited 3 mo ago by Talismaster. |

What kind of 4D chess is Onodera playing? |
