@givemersspls There being people who find his interests disgusting isn't what I'm referring to being mostly in his head. The idea that he won't be able to fit in anymore because some people find his interests disgusting is mostly in his head. Furthermore, if I were blaming him I'd be saying he was deserving of those comments for his behaviour, not pointing out what's mostly in his head. Finally, calling him a victim over receiving uncalled for comments in this context seems completely overblown to me. |

@Huichelaar Let's say I called you stupid or dumb for no good reason. I have insulted you. You are the victim of an insult [from me]. Someone called you stupid or dumb, big whoop. It's being a victim about something. I can somewhat agree with you, that yeah, it's "just" calling his interests disgusting and not that big of an issue. He's still a victim because it was for no good reason. It was unjustified on the part of the other people. That's what those words mean. Regarding blaming him for anything, I would say you are. "It's mostly in his head though." That's very directly saying that he's just mostly just making this up and that the other people don't find his interests disgusting, even though that's literally what they said out loud to him. |

@givemersspls I'm not blaming him for anything. I'm saying the situation is not going to improve unless he does something, because the others are not as likely to do anything. I don't even get how you're talking about victim blaming here, nobody's the victim of anything here. Someone called his interests disgusting, big whoop. |

@Huichelaar So you recognize that he has done nothing wrong, but you blame him... That's literally victim blaming. We can both agree that the other people are highly unlikely to apologize to him, but you're blaming him for not confronting the people who are insulting him for bad reasons. |

@givemersspls It's mostly in his head though. All he had to do when the bag dropped was laugh it off or confront the people who made fun of him with a simple "Yes I like this stuff, so what?" Instead he runs away, making himself look even more conspicuous for every day of school that he skips. It's not like he did anything wrong; If anything, it's the people calling him disgusting who need to apologize to him. (which I fear will not happen, unless pressured by their more popular peers (read Koigasaki).) Still, he's not helping himself by taking it lying down, and not at least making it known to the people that treat him like shit, that he condemns them over this. |

@XieShu The Light Novel go further into his college days and their marriage, manga has an original ending, so it was cut short. Last edited 4 mo ago by jimkage. |

Ugh, no. This is the classic oh, the guy did something "wrong", so all the responsibility is on him, and the girls are all passive, never doing anything themselves. In a fundamental way, Kashiwada was right; people like Momo wouldn't understand because they're popular. People accept them regardless of their habits. Instead of showing it as a moment where Momo might actually need to think more about other people, almost all of the focus is put on Kashiwada as it being his fault. To further rub salt into the wound, oh, what's this? Turns out that he was wrong all along about his original middle school trauma! Oh, if only Kashiwada thought more about it back then! Isn't it just all his fault? That's what this story does. @XieShu According to MyAnimeList, it ends at chapter 39. |

This could have taken a turn for greatness if Azuki didn't pussy out, I mean there shouldn't be any reason to go as far as visit a nigga alone in his place to play wingwoman role. Thank goodness it was axed. |

@Masterofhamsters Isn't it ironic that the biggest plot twist would be the characters completing the goal they set at the very beginning. |

Yeeeeah, kinda disappointed that they're basically just doing Toradora Lite. I would've liked to see Naoki end up with Azuki, but I guess that would betray the entire premise of the manga. Or I would've actually liked him ending up with Midori too since that was his original goal. One of these days, I'd like to see the hero and heroine team up in romance and actually end up with the person they originally set their eyes on rather than each other. |

I lost the ability to care from the moment the guy forced his way into MC's bag uninvited and caused a scene simply because he saw a store name he knew. Absurd beyond my suspension of disbelief. A shame, it was a decent read up until then. I'm not really surprised, though. Manga seem to be rushing to the finish these days even after long, well told stories. As anyone who read the recently finished Tomo-chan should know all too well. Last edited 4 mo ago by anime1337. |

Man, discount Toradora is pretty much just a poorly done plagiarism. Literally the exact same character archetype structure, relationships and general plot. If you're going to rip something off, at least do a good job. This is a perfect candidate for that "Can I copy your homework" meme. |
