Nah, he obviously knows the cornerpoints, but he has been repeatedly changed stuff up during production and added additional aspects. So it's not like he has a set in stone plan on how to exactly proceed with the BO plot.

From some interviews I reckon that Gosho already has the whole story concerning the black organisation planned out.
He never expected Detective Conan so popular and running for more than thousands of chapters.
All those cases in beween the main story are mini arcs or in a way standalone fillers.

As for breaks, HunterxHunter(HiatusxHiatus), D.Grayman and World Trigger have been on lengthy hiatus' due to author's health issues in comparison.
DC is alright so far.

Gosho should take as many breaks as needed. We don't want him to die before finishing Conan, that end was very abrupt though, not Gosholike at all.

@miraja These breaks are nothing compared to the length hiatuses of a few other series. It’s better that Aoyama takes breaks rather than overworking himself to death before he can end this old series.

What can she really do at that point? From her perspective, Conan won't give in (reasonable considering she came off as very hostile and untrustworthy during this case), but she got information that Ai Haibara appears to be like Conan, so there's her next point to be investigated for the future.

I thought there'd be another murder since by the deduction time it's usually 3 suspects...
